Caucus and Convention Hotel Reservation Details

The 2012 ILWU Caucus and Convention are quickly approaching. This year both events will be held at the Sheraton Vancouver Guildford Hotel. Caucus will be held on March 26, 2012 and Convention will go from March 27 – 30, 2012.

The Sheraton has set up a webpage where delegates attending Caucus and Convention are able to reserve their hotel room(s) online.

SECURE THE FUTURE FOF MEDICARE : A CALL TO CARE

I would like to draw your attention to an important initiative by the Canadian Health Coalition (CHC).

On November 30, 2011 from 7-9 pm EST, the CHC will be hosting a forum with Roy Romanow and André Picard. “Secure the Future of Medicare: A Call to Care” will be broadcast live from the Chateau Laurier in Ottawa and you can watch it live here (http://healthcoalition.ca). Two panels of experts and acitivists will present their ideas on how we can strengthen and expand Medicare to meet the needs of everyone across the country.
